The Veterinary Green Theatre Checklist

BEVA are proud to endorse the Veterinary Green Theatre Checklist. Officially launched at the World Congress of Veterinary Anaesthesia in September, the tool has been developed by the Association of Veterinary Anaesthetists (AVA), with funding from an educational grant from Dechra.

The initiative is based on the Intercollegiate Green Theatre Checklist used in human medicine, and has been developed with input from over twenty reviewers internationally to review and collate veterinary-specific guidance.

The checklist is intended to support evidence-based, sustainable operating theatre practices.

in veterinary clinics, and comprises a list of 20 recommendations to reduce the environmental impact of veterinary operating theatres during surgery, and in the perioperative period.
