Equine Ambulatory Practice seeks 5th member (Veterinary surgeon)
We are an independent Mixed (80% equine, 20% farm) practice looking for the 5th member of our team.
We are proud to be a traditional and well-respected independent practice in our area and are able to offer a well-equipped ambulatory service with lots of modern equipment and enthusiasm.
We are looking for a motivated assistant to join our two experienced partners and two assistants. We hope this mix of young and old will bring the practice the great benefits of new knowledge alongside years of experience.
Experience would be preferred but all CVs will be considered. The successful applicant will get all the support they need but will be encouraged to pursue their cases to their natural conclusions.
With the help of our very competent Equine Technician, we gastroscope, scan, laser, endoscope, xray, block and AI our patients. Complicated cases (including surgical colic’s and unresolved lameness’s)are referred .
We can offer a wide range of clients from pleasure horse owners to competition and stud yards.
The on calls are split fairly, giving a 1 in 5 rota, integrated with generous time off following a weekend duty. We also offer a good CPD and holiday allowance, a practice van, and a competitive salary.
Last, but definitely not least, we have a small but strong farm base. This includes a few dairy, beef and sheep farmers, and several small holders. The successful applicant will be expected to embrace the country community. But don’t worry, there will be NO TB Testing!
