Veterinary Associate (Internal Medicine) – Fixed Term
Rossdales Veterinary Surgeons is seeking to appoint a dedicated veterinary associate to assist with internal medicine provision in our busy and renowned equine veterinary hospital, based in Exning. This position is fixed term to cover maternity leave, initially for 11 months. A 1 in 4 contribution to the medicine on-call rota is required. Full time and part time applications will be considered. Proposed start date is mid August.
The ideal candidate will be a team player and integrate with our multidisciplinary specialist team.
The successful candidate will be expected to assist our internal medicine team in caring for in-patients, out-patients, day cases and emergency admissions.
Our caseload covers all age groups and includes Thoroughbreds, sports and pleasure horses with a range of medical disorders.
The hospital is very well equipped for all areas of internal medicine and diagnostic imaging and clinicians are supported by a highly skilled nursing team and hospital-based interns.
Applicants should hold a further qualification at RCVS Diplomate level in DipECEIM or DipACVIM (or equivalent). Applicants who have completed a residency and are eligible to sit board exams will be considered.
Applicants must be eligible to register with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and must have the right to work in the UK.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
