We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Ciliffe Equine Hospital on a full-time basis.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
This position is based on a 40-hour working week, although part-time applications will also be considered. Working patterns include a rota of 7:30am–4:30pm, 8:30am–5:30pm, and on-duty shifts, alongside participation in a 1:4 out-of-hours and weekend rota. You will work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team to deliver high-quality patient care, supporting a varied first-opinion caseload, maintaining high clinical standards, and contributing to the ongoing development of patient care within the practice, while also helping to deliver excellent client care and positive client experiences.
Salary
A salary of up to £30,000 per annum depending on experience.

Cliffe Equine is an established RCVS Accredited Equine Hospital based just outside Lewes in the East Sussex countryside.
The practice is set in the beautiful Sussex countryside at the base of the South Downs, just a few miles from the vibrant market town of Lewes and a short drive from Brighton. Direct trains to Gatwick Airport and London Victoria.
We are a 7-vet practice with full surgical facilities including a hospital facility (17 boxes). We have a team of qualified and trainee Equine Nurses. Equality, diversity, and inclusion is at the heart of our culture.

Applicant Requirements
This role requires registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS and experience working in clinical practice, with developing confidence in both medical and surgical nursing. You will demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with both clients and colleagues, alongside good organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively. A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous professional development is essential.
