We are looking for a full-time large animal veterinarian to join our growing dairy cattle and equine practice in beautiful Taranaki, New Zealand.
Who We Are:
Fairlane Veterinary Services is a boutique ambulatory veterinary clinic servicing primarily dairy cattle and equine patients. We believe in excellence in client satisfaction which has created an environment where our clients trust and value our services. We have a passion for always learning, and improving, and will support your continued education.
The Role:
Predominantly ambulatory work, with a growing haul-in work load. The equine side of the practice has a strong focus on dentistry and GP work. Our equine patients are primarily geriatric, pony club, and lower level showing, with the occasional race horse. We are looking for someone that is interested in continuing to grow the equine side of the practice, and is happy to get stuck in with some cattle work as well. The cattle side of the practice is seasonally based work load with the bulk of the work through calving and mating (July to November).

· Purpose built equine facility (currently under construction with an estimated completion date end of February 2026), with 7 stalls, a padded recovery stall, and treatment room.

· That is keen to help build the equine side of the practice
· That is flexible and not resistant to change as the practice is growing and continuously adapting to our client and patients’ needs.

· 4wd truck with drawers for storage
· Portable ultrasound
· Portable digital x-ray
· Portable equine stocks
· Terafloat with advanced dental equipment
· (soon to be completed) 7 stall haul in equine facility
· Small 1 bedroom fully furnished apartment available if required
