 HEAD EQUINE NURSE OPPORTUNITY

We now have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced veterinary nurse to join us in providing an enhanced patient and client experience, positive team culture, and delivery of high-quality support to our referring veterinarians.

This is a hospital-based position, where the successful candidate will be responsible for inspiring a culture of high performance in the team to ensure the provision of outstanding quality service and standards, as well as day-to-day management and operational responsibilities across our medical and surgical services. You will need to be a strong communicator, and lead by example to help us to develop our services in an engaging way that is aligned with the vision and values of the organisation.

As we move into a brand-new hospital and are a rapidly growing business this unique role is a great opportunity for a driven nurse to be instrumental in the development of the next stage of the clinical vision and to continue building a fulfilling career in an independent specialist practice.

 

Applicant Requirements:

·       Registered Veterinary Nurse or Equine Veterinary Nurse

·       Proven management and leadership experience

·       Excellent communication skills

·       Strong work ethic and the ability and enthusiasm to lead a team

·       Excellent clinical nursing skills and broad range of equine nursing experience

·       Experienced and confident in handling all types of horses

·       Commitment to participate in an out of hours rota

 

About Us:

This is a unique opportunity to join an innovative independent equine hospital in the heart of South Wales. Cotts has grown to include 3 branches boasting 12 ambulatory veterinarians, two hospital interns, 2 surgery diplomats and one internal medicine diplomat. Our clinical services are broad in scope and include general surgery, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics and lameness, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, neonatal care and poor performance. Our new facility includes two standing surgery suites, two surgical theatres, standing and GA computed tomography, hard and soft trot lunges, all weather gallops, in-house referral laboratory.
