EQUINE NURSE / TEAM LEADER
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced qualified equine nurse to head up our small team of vets and staff. Ideally you would love a challenge and a varied role which would include horse handling and support in lameness investigations, occasional inpatient care, as well as, stock management, undertaking radiography, shockwave and laser treatments, basic laboratory work in clinic and ambulatory setting. This is an exciting role for someone to join us and help develop new facilities, whilst managing daily client visits and encouraging continuous improvement. We are looking for a flexible confident veterinary nurse to lead and manage the team whilst liaising with vets to help offer outstanding patient care. You will be supported by other senior leaders and report directly to them. Previous management experience is desirable, together with excellent equine nursing experience and knowledge. We are able to offer extensive support and can offer accommodation to the right candidate if needed. This is a full time position, with OOH rota and a competitive salary based on experience and would consider supporting a training nurse for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate:
· RVN or REVN
· Able to lead by example
· Willing to learn and develop new skills, with excellent attention to detail
· Confident in handling horses
· Live within 30 min radius (accommodation can be provided if required)
· Clean driving licence
