The BEVA Congress scientific programme committee are delighted to announce that abstract submissions for the Clinical Research Sessions at BEVA Congress 2026 will open on Thursday 15 January and close on Thursday 5 February 2026.
These sessions provide a unique platform for clinicians and researchers to share high-quality studies and case-based work that enhance equine clinical practice. Authors are invited to submit abstracts in one of three formats:
• Clinical research abstracts (CRA) - hypothesis-driven studies (maximum 300 words)
• Clinical descriptive abstracts (CDA) - case-based reports or clinical observations (maximum 500 words)
• Clinical audit abstracts (CAA) - audits comparing current practice to standards and demonstrating quality improvement (maximum 500 words)
All accepted abstracts will be invited for oral presentation at Congress (10 minutes plus 2 minutes for questions) and will be considered for publication in a special online supplement of the Equine Veterinary Journal. Presenters will also receive free registration for the day of their presentation and a unique discount code for additional days.
Submissions must be original, ethically sound and clinically relevant, and must adhere to the Equine Veterinary Journal's ethical and formatting guidelines. Abstracts will undergo anonymised peer review, and those meeting the highest standards of scientific quality and practical value will be selected for presentation.
We encourage contributions from both experienced researchers and practicing clinicians, including work in progress, provided that results are included.
Submission window: Thursday 15 January - 5 February 2026
