Come and enjoy the freedom of working for a fully independent practice

We are an expanding, first opinion practice near the fabulous Jurassic coast in Dorset.  We have a modern, well equipped clinic at our base in Whitcombe Racing Stables with excellent inpatient and diagnostic facilities including operating room for general anesthesia and elective surgeries.

The role is both ambulatory and clinic based, with a broad range of clients from pleasure horses to top-level competition and race horses.

We would be happy to hear from colleagues wanting to develop their skills and career with the support of an extremely knowledgeable team.  The position may also suit an experienced colleague looking for a new challenge, with long term prospects and an opportunity to be involved with the development of the practice.

Additionally, we would welcome applications from two vets if that suits a working couple.

We can offer:

• Full clinical autonomy with the opportunity to work up your own cases and develop your specific interests

• Frequent visits from surgical and medical specialists

• 33 days holiday including Bank Holidays

• Equally shared rota  - currently 1 in 5 weekends with a day off in lieu after every weekend worked and weekday nights shared equally

• Company vehicle for business and private use if preferred

• Generous CPD allowance, VDS, RCVS and BEVA subscriptions paid

• Salary £40,000 – £65,000+ depending on experience

If you would like to do good quality work with a great team and live in some of the most attractive countryside and coastline in the country, we would love to hear from you.
