The Opportunity
Equine America and Horse First are two of the most trusted and innovative names globally in equine health and nutrition supplementation — and we are growing faster than ever. Our passion is helping horses feel and perform at their very best, from elite competition horses to much-loved leisure partners.
We are now seeking a highly qualified Equine Nutritionist or Equine Veterinarian to join our technical team of experienced Nutritionists and Veterinarians on a full-time basis. The role is based in Wellington, Florida, covering the greater Wellington and Ocala region, providing expert technical and nutritional support directly to our customers.
This is a customer-facing, full-time position with genuine flexibility built in. For the right candidate, we offer the option to spend six months of the year in the United States and the remaining six months working from the United Kingdom or EU. We will fully support the visa process for candidates relocating from outside the United States.
Who We Are Looking For
Essential
• A qualified Equine Veterinarian or Equine Nutritionist
• Degree qualified in Veterinary Medicine, Equine Science, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Bioscience, or a related field (Bachelor's minimum; higher qualifications advantageous)
• Confident providing nutritional advice and supplement recommendations
• Comfortable interpreting and communicating scientific information to horse owners, riders, Veterinarians and other industry professionals
• Highly personable, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships
• Self-driven and highly organised, with the ability to think analytically and with precision
• A collaborative team player with a genuine interest in horse welfare, health and performance
Advantageous
• Commercial experience within the equine feed or supplement industry
• Experience with supplement or feed product development and formulation
• Understanding of feed and industry body regulations and compliance
• Experience in equine research or academia
• Veterinary experience with an interest in nutrition
What You Will Be Doing
As our Equine Nutritionist or Veterinarian, you will be supporting our professional and leisure customers with nutritional and technical advice. You will be part of our highly qualified team of Equine Nutritionists and Veterinarians who are UK based with global experience.
• Delivering expert equine nutritional consultations and supplement recommendations directly to customers on yard and through our helpline
• Building and managing strong relationships with key clients — including top riders, trainers, barn managers and veterinary professionals
• Representing Equine America and Horse First at competitions, equestrian events, clinics and trade shows
• Creating educational and engaging technical content for marketing and customer education
• Delivering both academic, research-focused presentations and practical nutrition talks
• Supporting product research and development
• Assisting with product compliance and feed regulation requirements to ensure our products align with industry regulations and best practice
This is a diverse, exciting and genuinely hands-on role — working with our team from concept through to finished product on yard.
