Equine Medicine Fellowship at Fethard Equine Hospital - 2026 now OPEN
The 2026 medicine fellowship application is now open at Fethard Equine Hospital. We are looking for equine vets with a strong interest in neonatology, critical care, and internal medicine.
- Previous referral hospital experience or experience with sick foals is essential.
- The successful candidate must be enthusiastic with good team working skills and professionalism.
- Candidates will be in charge of the admission, care, and treatment of over 150 ICU foals and a wide range of other medical conditions in both adult and neonates equine patients.
- Fethard Equine Hospital medicine unit is a well-purposed-built ward with state-of-the-art facilities to handle large number of critical ill patients and ensure the highest standard of care with lots of seasonal supporting staff.
- This is a great opportunity to gain further experience in equine neonatal medicine as this is a hands-on medicine position where the candidate will be expected to work autonomously by the end of this period.
- Due to the seasonal nature of the position, this is a 6-month fixed contract, starting in January 2026. Accommodation in town and daily lunch will be provided. Salary will be discussed based on experience.
