Course Programme
We have worked with the RCVS to redefine and provide clarity on the procedures veterinary nurses are able to do in equine veterinary practice. This one-day course will provide an overview of the new BEVA Schedule Three guidelines and give you the opportunity to practice your skills to ensure that you can confidently carry out Schedule Three procedures. “The BEVA Schedule Three guidelines are designed to support and encourage practices to delegate appropriate procedures to their nurses. The Schedule Three course is new this year and has been designed by leading equine veterinary nurses to ensure that we feel confident to take on more responsibility in our practice.” - Marie Rippingale, BEVA Nurse Committee Chair During the course you will have the opportunity to practice techniques including injections, IV Catheters, blood sampling, nasogastric tubing, suturing, casting, bandaging, nerve blocking and anaesthesia.
